The Maintenance Technician uses their mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry expertise to maintain the upkeep and safety of CDD's homes throughout the general Kansas City metro area. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, grounds, safety and other related systems of all locations using appropriate equipment, tools, and materials. Perform carpet cleaning, floor stripping, buffing and related floor maintenance. Perform maintenance and repair of windows, walls, doors, and related hardware. Perform drywall, caulking and sealing activities. Perform mowing, trimming, snow removal, and other grounds services as necessary. Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance. Monitor and control supplies and equipment; order supplies and tools as necessary according to established policies. Maintain invoices and receipts and submit to supervisor for review and approval. Respond, as needed, to emergency work orders that can't be addressed in a timely manner by third-party contractors
