Andrew Kuzyk is selling all of his belongings at weekend yard sales in Mesa in hopes of raising enough money to help pay for his medications, equipment and medical bills.
He requires over 20 medications every day and wears an OPTune devise on his head until he dies. The optune devise costs $20,000 a month!
Optune is a newer treatment approach for taking on glioblastoma (GBM), the most common form of brain cancer. Optune is a device that delivers low-intensity electrical fields to stop cancer spread.1 Worn on the head and indicated for adult patients, this device emits what are called tumor treating fields (TTF) directly to affected areas.
Andrew was also diagnosed has stage 4 Melanoma — a form of skin cancer caused by an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells — and had hopes that by selling all of his belongings he could afford his treatments. Thursday-Sat. 6:00 AM to 12:00
