We are currently looking for a Mechanic Assistant to join our fast-growing maintenance team! Our employees enjoy benefits such as, but not limited to: Medical Benefits Life Insurance 401k Matching Paid Time Off (PTO) Vacation Pay Holiday Pay Bereavement Leave As a mechanic assistant, you will be responsible for: Grease, Lubricate Trucks and Other Internal Combustion Equipment Perform Safety Inspection on Trucks & Equipment Perform Routine Repairs for Supervisor Change & Repair Tires, Light Bulbs, Fan Belts, and other Simple Mechanical Parts Assist Lead Mechanic in Performing Any Repairs Pick Up & Deliver Parts, Supplies and Vehicles Repair Minor Truck Damages Repair Various Grounds Equipment such as Mowers, Tractors & Etc. Clean Garage & Dump Trash Perform a Variety of Operations & Maintenance Duties which Involve Working with Combustibles Ability to Perform Related Duties When Assigned Qualifications: Skills to Operate Trucks in a Safe Manner Communicate Effectively Evaluate Schedules Meet Deadlines Plan & Organize Efficiently Administer First Aid if Needed Knowledge of Vehicle Operation Basic Maintenance Requirements & Driving Codes Understanding of Hard Labor Work Ability to Carry Out Oral & Written Instructions Maintain Order Work Independently Make Common Sense Decisions in Critical Situations Requirements: ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE Maintaining & Servicing Trucks & Equipment Criminal background and drug screen required.
