I have run into many scammers on Craigslist. DO NOT give anyone an application fee or any money for that matter if you haven't done a walk-thru of the house you are interested in. They are getting more creative. Always do your research on the home and if listed as for sale I highly suggest contacting the realtor for the property! That's the only way I found out it was fraud. They are only taking your money and running with it. They are not legit.
