Join staff members from Pro Photo Supply and Ilford for a photo walk through our Nob Hill neighborhood. But wait, this isn't any ordinary film photo walk! Once we've shot our rolls of Ilford HP5 (a classic and versatile black and white film), we will head back to the Pro Photo Supply Event Center to learn how to develop our own film with the help of Hilary from Ilford. Should you want to invest in your new found knowledge, the top ticket level purchasers will leave that day with the Ilford & Paterson Film Processing Starter Kit. As always, our Lab will provided scans of everyone's negatives after they have been processed by all of you! Some Things You Should Know: Experience level: Beginner & UpRequirements: BYOFC! Each participant must supply their own film camera for this walk.Each participant will receive one free roll of Ilford HP5 400 ISO film in either 35mm or 120 generously provided by Ilford!Registration fees covers the ~2 hr group walk, a ~2 hr workshop on developing your own black & white film, and high-resolution scans provided by Pro Photo Supply's Lab.Ticketing Levels: For this film photowalk we have two ticketing levels. The $50 ticket level gets you the film, the group walk, the 2 hour workshop on developing your own film, and the high res scans from Pro Photo Supply's Lab. The $100 ticket level gets you all of the above and the Ilford and Paterson Film Processing Starter Kit to take home and develop your own film with in the future.Your film and scans should be ready in 2 business days after the photo walk!This walk is limited to 15 people.Meeting Location: Pro Photo Supply's Event Center. 1801 NW Northrup Str, Portland, Oregon 97209Duration: approx. 4 hoursSuggest Items to Bring: water, a snack, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate attire, and anything else needed for protection from the elements.SAFETY MEASURES:We will be dealing with chemicals during this workshop. Pro Photo Supply will provide nitrile gloves for people to use during the development process.The chemistry we will be using could leave stains if spilled on your clothing. With this in mind we recommend bringing an apron, lab coat, or just an old oversized shirt to protect any clothing that you want protecting while dealing with the chemicals used to develop film.Additionally, if you plan to invert your developing tanks during agitation, we recommend you bring your own safety glasses.We will be implicating the following safety guidelines:If you are sick, experiencing symptoms of illness, or have been exposed to the Covid-19 virus within 10 days of this event, please stay home.We encourage all participants to take whatever precautions they need to feel safe while in a group outside. Sponsored by :
