This training, led by Dr. Rachel Singer PhD, will provide an overview of factors that may impact the development of mental health pathology for immigrant, refugee, and asylee clients. The training will identify potential ethical concerns that may arise in treating this population, and further investigate strategies for mitigating these challenges.
Participants will engage in interactive discussion, case conceptualization, and creating an action plan for incorporating multiculturally competent interventions into their clinical work. Discussion will focus on strategies for conceptualizing and treating clients from a systemic perspective.
This training will be offered in person and virtually. Completion of this training is worth 1 CEU credit. If you would like to join us virtually, Zoom details will be sent out as the event gets closer!
