Description
Spilling the Tea Women's ConferenceFriday, September 16, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Have you ever sat around the table with several friends sipping a hot drink, laughing, talking, and just "spilling the tea" together about what happened the other day? We invite you to join the women of ELCM Hope Community Center as we discover how spilling the tea and truth mix with the love of Christ through art, words, music, and more at our women's conference on September 16-17. Join Convergence artists Adrienne Reedy (Wilton, CT), Trenda Jacocks (Fairfax, VA), and Amy Hall (Madison Heights, VA) as they lead women step-by-step through a variety of art mediums designed to give a basic introduction to exploring God, His Word, and what He is whispering to you through the process of making art. Art mediums include beginner acrylic painting, pastel painting, journaling and haiku. No prior artistic experience is needed--simply arrive ready to experiment, discover, play, have fun and make new friends in the process. Come dressed ready to make art. The early bird rate for the women's conference is $30 by September 14 ($40 at the door). Friday night dinner, Saturday light breakfast, Saturday lunch and all art supplies for the weekend are included in the cost. Youth are also welcome to attend this conference. ELCM Hope Community center is located at 4800 S. Amherst Highway, Madison Heights, next to Hardee's. For more information, contact ELCM at 434.849.8993 or email: [email protected].
