Bonsai is an art-form that has been around for thousands of years. Although it's a highly rewarding hobby, too often it is seen as difficult and steeped in tradition. We will teach you the basics of Bonsai in this workshop with local expert, Joel Guerin. Joel Guerin has raised bonsai for more than 20 years, including ficus, shefflera, ponderosa pine, texas ebony, various maples, junipers, bougainvillea, and more. He will provide a presentation on the basics of what bonsai is and how they are trained, cared for, followed by a workshop where 20 participants will create their own indoor bonsai. You have the option to attend for free to learn about bonsai or to purchase a ticket for $40 (limited to 20 participants) to create your own bonsai. Questions?
