The 2022 Viana McCown Lectureship hosted by the Center for Nursing Leadership at the University of South Carolina, College of Nursing will feature Dr. Cynthia Barginere, DNP, RN, FACHE, Chief Operating Officer for the internationally recognized and innovative Institute for Healthcare Improvement on Friday, October 21, 2022, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Pastides Alumni Center, University of South Carolina, Columbia, South Carolina. For 30 years, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) has used improvement science to advance and sustain better outcomes in health and health care across the world. Dr. Barginere will share with her experiences that bring awareness of safety and quality to millions, accelerate learning and the systematic improvement of care, develop solutions to previously intractable challenges, and mobilize health systems, communities, regions, and nations to reduce harm and deaths. Parking spots in this parking garage are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed by the UofSC Alumni Center. Entrances to the garage are located on both Park and Pendleton Streets. Metered parking is also available along the streets around the Alumni Center.
