Young German Shepherd seen in N Berkeley

This evening at around 10:30 I saw a young obviously lost young male German Shepherd at my house which is near the intersection of Spruce and Rose. He was cautious but not threatening and I lured him in and gave him some dog food. It was clear that he was lost, friendly, but frightened and sure to run. I went to get water, but I think he was spooked by another dog being walked and he left without a trace. This dog's eyes are different colors, one is lighter, and he has dots on his temples. I sincerely hope he's found.
