The September luncheon will be Tuesday, September 20th, 2022. We will begin socializing at 11 am and lunch will be served at 11:30 am. The choices for the luncheon for September will be Pot Roast, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy or Chicken Fried Steak, green beans and sweet potato souffle for $15.50. The speakers for September will be Tim Kehoe and Chris Sharpe. Tim has more than 20 years in construction with an architectural background. He is a Certified Green Builder and Certified Aging in Place Builder. He has created beautiful living spaces for families and aging Baby Boomers and people with injuries and disabilities. Kehoe Constructors has received multiple Columbia Remoderlers Awards and is listed with the BBB. Chris is the Director for EmmanuWheel and began volunteering when EmmanuWheel first began in 2009. He started working for the ministry as Managing Director in 2019. He feels blessed to be chosen by God and mentored by Jeff Kerby, the founder of EmmanuWheel. This position allows him to share the love of Christ with those in need and often in very desperate situations. The purpose of the Newcomers and Community Club of Lexington, SC is to extend a welcoming hand to both newcomers and existing residents of the Lexington area and to promote good fellowship within the community through social as well as charitable activities. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends, develop lasting friendships and give back to the community in which we live. This club is designed for adults age 18 and up.
