Description

Through art and expression, we release stigma and shame about our bodies, our past, and our reproductive journeys. This project is an evolving exploration of what it means to own our stories, hear our voices, and honor our experiences. Our goal is to shift the culture of stigma and shame in reproductive health by building upon the foundations of justice as spectacle, storytellers, dreamers, workers, educators, scientists, and cultural preservationists, to liberate the creative interpretation with the viewer, listener, and witness, so you may shift the culture as you move forward, remembering the change and changing those you come across. ABOUT US: We are a coalition of BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) led organizations and community members working to infuse art, storytelling, and reproductive justice together We believe in a world where all families have the resources to thrive in safe, healthy communities, where we're empowered to make informed choices about our bodies and our reproductive health. WHAT IS REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE? The human right to make our own choices about what to do for our health and reproductive care; to choose when, how, and if to have children, and to raise families in safe and sustainable communities. We have a right to be respected and cared for with dignity and compassion by every health care provider, to release shame and guilt about our bodies and sexual health, and to be empowered to advocate for our well-being where we are. We can't wait to share our showcase with you! Register today! This event will be catered by the Rez , an Urban Eatery.
