Please join us in celebrating the official Iowa Department of Natural Resources Water Trail Designation ceremony for the Cedar River and Black Hawk Creek in Black Hawk County. The day's event's will begin with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony at Washington Park in Cedar Falls at 9 am. From Washington Park, attendees are invited to participate in a guided paddle down the Cedar River to the Waterloo Boat House, where lunch will be served while representatives from state and local organizations will speak on behalf of the project and its significance.
Paddle & Luncheon
We anticipate an hour to prepare for canoe and kayak launch at Washington Park so please arrive, promptly, by 9 am the morning of September 28th.
Individuals participating in the paddle ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN WATERCRAFT
LIMITED SHUTTLE SERVICE will be provided for those needing accommodations to return to Washington Park FOLLOWING LUNCHEON AND PRESENTATION.
Luncheon Only
Individuals interested in attending only the luncheon ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER and should be at the Waterloo Boat House by 12 noon.
