Description

Jane is an artist, teacher and librarian residing in Lansing, Michigan, since 2000. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees focused on weaving and textile design. As a mixed media collage artist, Jane enjoys combining various materials, text, fabric, paper, and fiber. She uses stitching, drawing and painting along with color, texture, and pattern to create vibrant, lively works. As a teaching artist, she loves to impart a spirit of play, discovery and experimentation in students. As a librarian, Jane often reuses books and incorporates words into her art. This workshop is for ages 17+, individuals who are 11 to 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and masks will be optional.
