Join Paloma in learning the basics of painting with Acrylic. Acrylic paint is fun and versatile. Paint something from your imagination or use a supplied image as an outlined form to transfer to your canvas to get you started. Plus, the corresponding full-color reference photo will be provided from a wide assortment of inspiration. Supplies are included, and painter's aprons are available, but it would be a good idea to wear clothing you don’t mind getting a bit of paint on. We look forward to spending a session of creativity with you! Paloma studied at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. She now works as a professional graphic designer. In addition to graphic design, Paloma was trained in Arts Education with the Lincoln Center for the Arts. Since the early 1990s, Paloma has worked with young people teaching them about drumming and art. She has worked with many youth organizations in Detroit and most recently with local Lansing institutions: The Michigan Project, Allen Neighborhood Center, Reach Art Studio, and Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center. This workshop is for ages 16+ and masks will be required.
