To reduce wait time at collection events, we ask that you register ahead of time. If you choose not to register in advance, you will be asked to do so upon arrival, possibly increasing the time you spend waiting in line. STEP ONE Determine Your Ticket Type: All Oakland County residents can register, but the cost varies by community. Please determine what the cost is applicable to your community.* *Note: Your community is where you pay property taxes, not necessarily what is on your driver’s license. Selecting the incorrect community may result in applicable fees being invoiced to you after the collection event. MEMBER COMMUNITIES Addison Township - $10 Brandon Township - $15 Groveland Township - $10 Independence Township - $10 Lake Angelus - Free Lake Orion - Free Leonard - $10 Oakland Township - $10 Orion Township – Free Ortonville Village - $15 Oxford Township - Free Oxford Village - Free Pontiac - Free Rochester (City only)- Free Rose Township - Free Springfield Township - $10 Waterford Township - $15 All Communities not listed above - $75, per vehicle, per event Note: Rochester Hills is NOT a member community this year. Please visit the city’s website at: Recycling and Hazardous Waste (rochesterhills.org) for information on their household hazardous waste program STEP TWO Register above by your ticket type: • Free Member Community • $10 Member Community • $15 Member Community • $75 General Admission Complete form and pay by credit card if your community is not listed above as free. STEP THREE Save and present your ticket at the September 24, 2022 collection event (either printed or on a mobile device). STEP FOUR Day of collection event: • Present your driver’s license or other proof of residency and your registration ticket (either printed or digitally)* • Double check that you have only acceptable household hazardous waste (HHW) in your vehicle; a more comprehensive list can be found at NoHaz.com • Clearly separate HHW from other items in your vehicle • Separate HHW in your vehicle into three types: 1) Paint 2) Electronics (unloaded last) 3) All other HHW** • Remain in your vehicle *Your ticket and confirmation email will be automatically sent to you when you register.
