Description
This day is extraordinary for me. It is being held in memory of my Mother, Mrs. Mildred E. Grady. Her legacy will live on! Today, October 2nd is my mother’s birthdate. She was escorted back to her heavenly home in the early morning hours of September 25, 2017. I cared for her and an older disabled brother while being a full-time mother to a now adult son. I continue to be the sole caregiver to my brother. After seeing upfront and up close what being a Caregiver entailed, I decided I wanted to help others who are Caregivers. This is a full-time job, and most do not have an outlet where they can relax and connect with others who are on that same level. Not to mention, taking a vacation is merely a dream! This year, I am partnering with DADSRA-Panhandle. Michelle Clay and I are planning to host an event that will give the Caregivers in Bay County a chance to relax, recharge and share moments with others who perform the same daily tasks. They can assemble, feast, laugh, cry, and be catered to. They are free to release those "roller coaster" motions without regret!! Don't miss out on an opportunity you have been waiting for and rightfully deserve. It would help if you cared for yourself to care for others. Come on out and spend a few hours with us. Even though we love the Care Recipients, this day was only meant for the Caregiver.
