Home Grown Roofing & Contracting is an exciting, busy, high-energy company seeking an experienced Roofer to assist with residential roofs needing repair or new roofs. An individual who wants to work throughout the foothills and cities of Colorado and loves working in the outdoors. Boredom is not part of this job! This job requires the ability to work independently as well as with a team and long hours of physical labor and work well with their hands. This position requires the ability to handle extreme heat and cold conditions. Flexibility is a requirement as there will be multiple jobsites to support. ● Excellent communicator that includes written and verbal skills ● Excellent customer service ● Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work ● Attention to detail is important for this position ● General knowledge of roofing procedures, techniques and specialties ● Knowledge of all roofing types including metal, single-ply, asphalt shingles, BUR, and modified ● The ability to work independently at job sites as well as part of a team including an openness to receive feedback where needed ● Physical fitness level that will allow for quick movement, climbing, bending, lifting heavy loads that could be upwards of 50 pounds or more ● Familiarity with various hand tools, including pneumatic and power tools ● Applicant required to have their own tools ● The ability to read 2D, 3D, and aerial roofing diagrams, and follow instructions ● Comfortable working at significant heights in various weather conditions ● Install or repair commercial and residential roofs ● Remove old or damaged material ● Install new materials, such as asphalt shingles, flashings, or metal ● Cut and shape roofing materials to the proper size ● Follow all OSHA safety regulations ● Minimum 10-plus years of experience in roofing ● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation ● Must have a high school education or GED ● Bilingual – Spanish is an added bonus but not required ● Days and Hours: Monday through Friday with Saturdays as needed
