About Us: At Buoy we are on a mission to make being in the water a daily practice. We want to show that sharing is superior to owning by removing the barriers to getting out on the water. No longer is it necessary to own or transport your kayak or paddle board to be able to participate in the sport. Our lockers are built from marine grade aluminum, we provide premium equipment, and the equipment is accessible through our app. But more importantly we are looking to foster and support a community on the water through Buoy lockers. Austin is the beginning and more will follow. About the Role: We are looking for support in Austin. We are looking for someone to be in charge of the Buoy locker at Ski Shores. This role will be in charge of resolving issues with the locker and gear. This role is very similar to being a property manager - there will be stretches of nothing and times of more work. For our product to replace the need to own, we must provide a reliable experience so users have trust the lockers will be in good order and available when they want to use it. A week of work could look like going out to the locker to top the paddle boards off with air, repair a board that got damaged and replace a waterproof phone case that was lost. This person must be able to respond to issues within 24 hours. They must have their own transportation. This person will report directly to the owners. The job will be seasonal - closed during the cold from December to February. Payment: We will pay a weekly rate and a percentage of sales. You will realize the benefits of a well performing locker. Duties: Ensure the locker and gear is clean. Repair or replace damaged or lost equipment. Resolve onsite problems submitted by customers. Charge and provide necessary onsite support for the lock. They only need to be charged every 6 months or so. Receive shipments of goods and install new equipment. Requirements: Communicate effectively and frequently.
