Part-Time Hatchery Staff – Immediate Opportunity – open until filled Filling 2 Open Positions Hours: Saturday & Sunday – 9am to 5:30pm Additional hours on weekdays may be available The Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium seeks a positive and enthusiastic individual to join our team. This position is one that offers valuable experience to those that have studied in the field of biological sciences. Much of the work consists of interacting with the public as well as fish, reptile and amphibian care. Duties (listed in priority): 1. Admissions collection 2. Basic aquatic animal care and hatchery maintenance 3. Facilities maintenance 4. Educational programming assistant Required Experience and Skills: 1. Enrolled or recent graduate of an undergraduate program or experience in similar positions. 2. Positive and enthusiastic disposition Desirable skills 1. Experience in or willingness to handle amphibians, reptiles and fish. 2. Experience in or willingness to learn fishing skills 3. Experience in or willingness to operate a power equipment. 4. Experience in customer service settings.
