A large apartment community is looking for a maintenance person with no less than 2 years maintenance technician experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, understands the value of time management, possesses mechanical/carpentry skills, is able to work alone or with a team, works well under pressure in a fast paced work environment and is willing to complete any task asked to perform by the maintenance supervisor (including but not limited to trash/grounds pick up). The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to maintenance requests as directed by the maintenance supervisor, performing preventative maintenance and apartment turns, diagnose problems and repairs in the areas of light electrical, plumbing, dry wall, appliances etc., and ensure that work orders are responded to professionally and promptly, providing excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promote a quality living experience for all. Requirements for this position include a minimum of two years apartment maintenance experience, possess own tools for the job, current driver's license and proof of automobile insurance. Other requirements include excellent verbal and written communication skills, a polite and professional approach and excellent customer service skills. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week, which includes emergency on call rotation and may include Saturdays. Applicant must provide their own tools.
