Hello there, We are a furniture retailer that showcases our inventory by appointment 7 days of the week. Our appointment timing is flexible (usually 8 am – 8 pm) based on our availability of that of that customer. We are looking for a salesperson to meet our customers based on appointments booked by us and showcase our inventory. We ask our customers to book appointments at least 24 hours in advance but occasionally get customers wanting to meet in the next 10 mins. For this reason, we need someone who lives within 15 mins (5-8 miles) of our location who can meet a customer last minute. For a ballpark of location, Google address 11940 Menchaca Rd, Manchaca, TX 78652. We are willing to pay a 5% commission off the pretax total on all sales. If no sale is made, we will pay $20 for your gas/time. Average sell is in the $3,000 amount which makes a commission of $150. Its not bad for an hour of work if living in the area. Most customers decide to purchase (or not) within 30 mins of arrival. Since we meet by appointment only and the products we carry are extremely unique (and competitively priced!) the odds of making a sale are high once a customer decides to pay us a visit. This job is for someone looking to make side money and is flexible to be on call on the weekends since that is when most people shop. Again, our products are unique and very competitively priced which makes the sale a lot easier. You will answer a few basic questions and that’s it. We can train on you on this. Most customers will ask for delivery which we refer them to delivery person but sometimes they show up trucks and want to take the item(s) right then and there. In such case, the customer will need our help to load item(s). We ballpark you will need to lift about 90lbs to help load. If you cannot help load, its not a deal breaker. We can talk and figure something out if interested. We will be issuing you a 1099 form (independent contractor) at year end detailing your earnings that are reported to the IRS.
