Description
Thanks for the warning but that is just one of the scams on Craigslist.
Never buy a puppy from anyone who wants to meet somewhere. You want to see where the puppies are being raised, to help ensure you aren't buying from a puppy mill or puppy mill dealer. Many dogs are kept in horrendous conditions (not fit for criminals) for the sole purpose of breeding and selling the puppies.
Never think about giving anyone money until you know where they live and take a picture of their drivers license. Licenses can be faked but it's a lot of trouble to rent a house just to sell puppies out of so if you know where they live and have a picture of them, you probably are not going to lose your money.
Also beware of any ad that does not list the price. Craigslist rules ask anyone asking for a fee, to list the amount of the fee in the ad. Fees are only allowed to cover certain medical costs and vet care. If they are selling puppies here, they already have decided that rules don't apply to them, so should your trust them to have healthy, pets worthy of the price they are asking?
