I am looking to form a band to cover Motorhead songs. It is not a tribute band project and you don't have to look like Lemmy! As you know the classic Motorhead was a three piece power trio, but I want to go four piece. Anyway Motorhead went to four piece as well. I will be on lead/rhythm guitar but the second guitarist and I can switch off. We can practice at my place, I have everything we need except your instrument, you can also bring your own amp and pedals etc. if you prefer to. The drums are electronic, I had to because acoustic drums were too loud for where we are playing, plus everyone starts turning up the volume on their instruments to keep up with the drums and then they turn it up more to keep up with the other guys and before you know it it's total cacophony. You know what I mean. As far as the songs, just listen to the No Sleep Til Hammersmith album, in my opinion and many others it is Motorhead's finest hour. I am not too worried about your chops, as long as you can play in tune and in time that works for me. If you can do that you should have no problem learning the songs. Hell, I'm no virtuoso anyway. I rock it. That's what I do. The only "rule" I have is that if I give you a song to learn you are expected to know it frontwards and backwards and ready to play it at the next practice. If you show up not knowing it you will be sent home immediately. I can't deal with that anymore. It happens all the damn time. So you need to practice the songs at home. Thank you for reading.
