Assist the Metals Program Manager in the purchase and process of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, operating a safe and efficient processing facility while following the standards set in the Company Mission statement, Policies and Procedures, and Safety and Health Handbook. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *Knowledge of metal grades (preferred) *Maintain safe and efficient operation of all equipment including but not limited to, front end loader and forklift. *Examine, select, and purchase material at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors. *Enter data into the computer system including purchases and sales. *Remove contaminants from commodities. *Assist law enforcement with theft policies. *Assist customers in the public depot and buyback area when needed. *Reliable and predictable on-site attendance is necessary. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent work experience. Ability to operate forklift and front-end loader. Ability to maintain composure in a stressful work environment. Strong ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and accurately. Frequent lifting, frequent computer dexterity; pushing, pulling, walking, climbing stairs, standing, kneeling, twisting.
