Seeking a maintenance technician who possesses basic handyman skills and wants to make a positive contribution to the community. Position Description The technician will support the maintenance supervisor and team by assisting with the general maintenance of a fairly new 308-unit residential townhouse apartment complex. Duties will predominantly include performance of basic repairs; general maintenance work for unit turnovers/make readies; completing routine work orders; work on the computer for inputting of work order and inventory information; assisting with unit inspections; and help with organization and upkeep of the maintenance shop inventory, equipment, and supplies. May periodically assist with inspections of basic work performed by contractors, vendors and other service providers to verify the work, materials and services meet quality standards, scope and specifications as required. Experience and basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting is necessary. Qualifications - Minimum of three years of applicable work experience - Competency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing English to fulfill the job duties - Ability to lift 50 lbs - Good work history and attendance record - Valid Hawai`i driver license - Ability to work comfortably on the computer and with technology desirable
