Needle Felting - Weaving People Together - Fiber Art Series Tuesday, September 27, 2022 9:00AM - to 12:00 PM Adult Education and Cyber Center Classroom $50 **Attend the first three classes and get the 4th class in the series for free. earn to make felted two or three-dimensional shapes such as animals, insects, plants or people. With a sharp, barbed needle, it is quick and easy to shape and tangle wool fibers into a solid artistic shape: a work of art to hang on your wall, stitch onto clothing or a small sculpture for a table. All you need is your imagination! Materials are included in the class fee of $50. Textile Artist Instructor: Doris Florig She has spent the past 50 years looking over shoulders, asking questions, reading and experimenting with weaving techniques. Doris has absorbed the skills of netting and braiding from the Cree Indians, Flechee finger weaving from the French Canadians, spinning from Ontario sheep farmers, natural dyes from the Navajo, plaiting from the Bahamians, and seat weaving from the blind.
