The Georgiana Thomas Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, PHA for the District of Columbia and Its Jurisdiction will sponsor our annual Margaret E. Anderson-Georgiana Thomas Grand Chapter-Howard University 5K Breast Cancer Walk For A Cure. Meet us at the Historic Prince Hall Masonic Temple, 1000 U Street NW at 7:30am for the “Kick-Off and Warm-Up” activities before walking to the Howard University Cancer Center. This is a hybrid walk! The walk will take place on the U Street Route and virtually so please feel free to support the cause from anywhere! All registered participants will receive a Zoom link prior to the walk day to join us virtually. Proceeds will go to the Howard University Cancer Center to support breast cancer research, community outreach, and awareness. Registration is $40. The registration fee includes a T-shirt for registrations received by September 12, 2022. Schedule of Events: 7:30am Registration Opens 8:00am Kick-Off and Warm-up 8:30am Walk begins at the Masonic Temple PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A T-SHIRT IN TIME FOR THE 5K WALK, YOU MUST REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 12, 2022. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! Waiver By completing this registration, you, the participant or parent/guardian of the participant understands that your consent to these provisions is given in consideration of the acceptance of this registration and for being permitted to participate in this event. You are a voluntary participant in this event and in good physical condition. You understand that this event is a potentially hazardous activity and you assume full responsibility for all injury or accident, including, but not limited to contact with other participants, effects of heat, humidity, traffic, and the condition of the route. You release the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, PHA District of Columbia and the Georgiana Thomas Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, PHA, Prince Hall Free & Accepted Mason and Order of the Eastern Star Charitable Educational Foundation, Howard University Cancer Center and all sponsors or affiliates of this walk from all claims/liabilities that may occur from you or your child's participation.
