We recently received a huge donation from our friends at I & K Transport, Inc. They generously donated $70,000 worth of dog and cat food to our shelter. Our staff and volunteers stepped up, and went over to pick all of it up. We know that donations like this one can have a huge impact on our community. Last year we hosted several successful pet food giveaways, and we are hoping to host some more this year. Sometimes a little bit of help can go a long long way. We are looking for volunteers to help with this effort. We know not everyone is in a position to adopt or foster an animal. But you can volunteer your time, donate to our shelter, and share our stories to help promote our animals and events. * Event is inside and outside* This event is a Drive Up pet food give away. Volunteers are needed to speak to attendees and record what food is needed ( cat, dog) Food is placed into the attendees vehicle as they drive up to the distribution point. Requirements are: Event is 18 and up. No pets or children due to vehicles and fast pace of this event. Wear closed toes non slip shoes, comfortable t shirt and shorts/pants Bring water bottle and sunscreen Be able to stand / walk on uneven ground Ability to lift 10 -25lbs Able to follow instructions and communicate clearly Have a positive attitude and empathy toward attendees
