Description
We are searching for a good home for our Great Pyrenees pup. He is so sweet, good with older kids and other animals. He’s good with younger kids too, like not mean to them or anything, he just doesn’t know his own strength/size…
We are getting ready to foster and our home study licensor suggested we rehome him due to him being too wild and not careful with the kids (he’s even knocked my 10 year old down a few times). Since we will be fostering 0-3 year olds, we can’t take the chance of him hurting them, whether on purpose or on accident.
We are asking a rehoming fee. He is up to date on shots and going to the vet on Friday for a booster of one of them. Not neutered (this breed shouldn’t be neutered until 18-24 months).
We want to make sure he goes to a good home. MUST HAVE A FENCED BACK YARD! That is non negotiable. While it is doable, this breed is hard to train off leash and he needs to be able to roam safely.
He hasn’t had any training in protecting livestock as we got him to be a family pet, not a working dog. He’s still young enough that I’m sure he can be trained if needed. He definitely has those tendencies.
If you think he will be a good fit for your family, please get a hold of me.
