Description

Election 2022: An Interactive Dialogue on Voting Rights, Privilege, and Civic Duty This forum will bring together members of the UNH community (students, staff, faculty) with the larger Seacoast community to learn with one another about how our election system really works, and to explore the ways we have co-constructed meanings and symbolic language related to voting in the United States. Our aims are to elevate the conversation about who votes and who doesn’t vote and why, and to facilitate the sharing of our stories about the voting process. We also hope to expand understandings of what works with the current system while also opening up discussion of challenges, obstacles, and inadequacies that may need to be addressed. We hope to find common ground through civil (dis)agreement about pressing issues related to our elections system and the landscape of voting rights in the United States, and to think together about ways to move forward.
