Lake County Office of Education partners with Lake County Health Services Department for a presentation focused on tobacco and cannabis awareness, prevention, education, and curriculum for K-12 schools. Presenting this information is Lake County Health Services Tobacco Education and Prevention Coordinator, Liberty Francis. This training is for school site administrators and school district personnel. The focus of the presentation will include: An introduction to the evidence-based youth nicotine vaping prevention program Catch My Breath and Stanford University Vaping curriculumStrategies for restorative practices as follow-up to the School and College Legal Services August 29, 2022 Suspension and Discipline workshop Information to support parent/community engagement in an effort to reduce and/or prevent the use of tobacco and cannabis productsAfter the group presentation, Liberty Francis will be available to answer questions and offer suggestions to district staff interested in learning more about how to bring these programs and offerings to their sites.
