SPIRIT: The Authentic Story of the Bell Witch of Tennessee As you sit on the grounds of the farm that once belonged to the Bell family, SPIRIT will take you on an eerie journey that began in 1804 when John Bell uprooted his family and moved to a beautiful area on the Red River, now known as Adams, unaware that the ground was already occupied by the later coined "Bell Witch," tormenting the family for years, moving objects and even pinching and slapping family members, the events culminated in John Bell's mysterious death in 1820. The Bell Witch gleefully claimed responsibility, even singing bawdy songs at his funeral. The mystery remains unsolved to this day. Shows are performed at the Bell School Complex Outdoor Theatre (Brooksher covered pavilion). Please dress for the weather! All pavilion seating is reserved ticketing with labeled seats. You should plan to arrive before 6:30pm. Seating begins at 6:30 and show begins at 7:00. Any arrivals after 7:00 will not be seated until intermission. Grass seating will be available IF all seats “sell-out” under the covered pavilion and IF weather permits, You should bring your own chair or blanket for the great grass seating. You may call 615-696-1300 after 4:00pm on the day of performance to determine if grass seating will be available that evening. Grass Seating Tickets ($25 adult; $10 student) will be sold onsite only. If you need assistance or have questions about wheelchair access or other accessibility, call the Box Office at 615-696-1300 before purchasing your ticket.
