The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates the community on disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
CERT training is a commitment of 20 hours and is free. Only those who successfully complete the practical exercise with hands-on instruction in fire suppression, search and rescue, cribbing and medical operations will receive a certificate of completion.
