What is Cleansing Our Lenses? This workshop is the work of taking a deeper look into our self-awareness with self assessment. This learning environment encourages and challenges human service practitioners and professionals to assess their self-awareness, cultural competency and implicit biases. This assessment will provide information as to how we can improve our services to others especially in vulnerable populations. There will be pre-requisite activities, sent to those who are registered, to complete and bring results to the workshop. Learning Objectives Learn to assess one’s own bias.Learn how implicit bias can impact those served.Critically explore how cultural competence impacts individual practice.Assess and explore bias and cultural competence through a human service lens.We are excited to provide you with this 6 Contact hrs Ethics training for only $125. Limited space.  Lunch will be included, along with snacks and refreshments.  Certificates of Completion will be provided with conclusion of the workshop and emailed to you within 2 weeks after completion of exit survey. Although We are not currently board approved, you can still use our training for contact hours. However, your continuing education activity is subject to audit. Although CEU or attendance certificates should not be attached to your Renewal Affidavit, you will need to be able to provide upon request, verifiable proof of attendance and credit hours. Please reference Chapter 63, Section .0401 of the NC Administrative Code (link available from the HOME page) for guidance on what constitutes appropriate and acceptable continuing education activities.***Currently, the Board considers live/synchronous webinars in which participants and instructor may engage in live interactive dialogue that benefits all practitioners as equivalent to an attended training. This live interaction must be verifiable if the CE activity is audited.*** National Board for Certified Counselor https://www.nbcc.org/resources/nccs/earnce Seminar, Workshop or Conference Courses (No clock hour limit)NBCC ACEP approval is not required; however, the courses must meet NBCC guidelines for continuing education. A certificate, verification form or letter verifying attendance is required for documentation. The documentation must include your name, date attended, hours completed, program title and signature of presenter/provider.
