Irish Angel and SCFAST provide education, awareness, and resources about addictions, PTSD, PTSI, TBI,depression and anxiety among first responders.
Scott Mingus is a Retired Assistant Chief that has experienced the same struggles as many of our first responders across the nation. Scott will share his experience with PTS and how he fights every day to maintain a positive well-being, which he does through fitness. He will stress the importance of having a Peer to Peer support system in place.
Amanda Coleman is the Founder and Executive Director of Irish Angel. A resident of Dublin, Ireland, Amanda comes from a family of law enforcement in Ireland. She’s personally dealt with the emotional struggles behind the job of law enforcement in her own family. Her pride for her family, encouraged her to always spread positive energy into the law enforcement community.
Patti Graham is the Director and Retention Coordinator for the SC Firefighter Assistance and Support Team (FAST). She was born to a father that dedicated his life to serving others, with a passion for the fire department and the community. Unfortunately, he was killed in 2008 while serving others. Wanting to carry on the tradition, Patti decided to follow in her father’s footsteps. Since her dad’s passing in 2008, Patti has gone through training with the Sumter County Fire Department and is now a volunteer firefighter. She also trained and became an assistant Chaplain for the department.
