Ann L. Chinn, founder of the Middle Passages Ceremonies & Port Markers Project, brings to life this era in our history. Currently serving as the Chair of the Executive Board of Directors for this organization, she will share research and insight about the harrowing journey made by Africans brought to our shores, and how this project serves to honor them. In collaboration with The Mather Interpretive Center. The Mather Interpretive Center (Building #1, below) will be open after our presentation from 12-1:15, and docents will be on hand to discuss the significance of Mather School.
