Description

The first of three monthly discussions on independent print publishing in Pittsburgh. We'll explore the ways publishing can serve as artistic practice, as community building and even as an act of resistance in our digitally-mediated lives. But, we'll also look at the challenges of independent publishing; including rising costs of paper, shipping and ever-increasing competition for eyeballs in the attention economy. Zooming out, we'll look at reading culture in general across Pittsburgh and sources of inspiration on the printed page in Pittsburgh and beyond. Attendance is free, but RSVP is required.
