There is an abandoned, overgrown lot on Scott way between Melrose & Vernon that neighbors have been working to turn into a community garden & gathering space. There are a lot of invasive weeds and overgrown vegetation that need to be cleared, then we need to make a plan for what to plant instead! Help us make the community garden & gathering space of your dreams! We'll spend a few hours making as much progress as we can, and there's a role for everyone to help. We'll need people to pull up vines, cut down (small) trees, break down what we cut down, DJ the music, keep folks hydrated, provide snacks, and help us prepare for the event. We'll work together from 2pm - 5pm, then have a cookout and talk together about what we want to use the space for.
