Mid Mitten CrossFit is pleased to present the inaugural Lansing's Strongest Competition. This event will take place at Mid Mitten Crossfit on Saturday October 1st, 2022 at 9:30am. Strength athletes--men and women--sorted by weight classes from Michigan's Capital City will compete in 5 events (details to be announced soon). The top three atheletes from each weight class will receive awards. Registration fees include a t-shirt for all participants. Weight classes: Men's Lightweight - up to 220lbs, Men's Heavyweight - over 220lbs Women's Lightweight - up to 165lbs, Women's Heavyweight - over 165lbs This competition is tailored to novice and first time strongman/strongwoman competitors. This event is not sactitioned by any strongman affiliation. Exact weigh-in times are TBD but will be offered the evening before the event and the morning of immediately before the start of the compeition. Upon registration athletes will be sent a Google form link to obtain weight class & t-shirt size. ==========EVENTS========== Press Medley: Athletes will have one minute to press three implements, one rep on each of the 1st two and then rep out the last in the remaining time. Implements will be Log, Axel & Circus Dumbbell Axel DL: Max reps of deadlift with Axel barbell in one minute. Athletes will receive down signal for each successful lift. Straps & belts allowed, no suits Carry Medley: For time athletes will carry object(s) to sled, return the sled to the starting line and then finally carry H-Stone. Tires: Athletes will have 90 seconds to flip a tire for maximum distance. Grip event: Last man standing single arm pinch grip deadlift. Women's weight will go up by 2.5lbs per jump, Men's will increase by 5lbs, until final 3 athlete remains, then weight increases must be at least .5lbs. *Women will use the 4cm block and men will use the 5cm block
