These Pre-Apprenticeship Training in Healthcare (PATH) academies are designed for adult participants to explore career pathways in the field of healthcare. Participants will be offered an introduction to a variety of health-related professions, depending on the focus of the particular PATH program. This is a 3-week intensive training. Certifications earned may include Blood Borne Pathogen Certification, CPR/Basic Life Support, and Mental Health First Aid Certification, and Mandt. Some academies introduce key topics for Medical Office jobs and others include key topics for Direct Service positions. Students also receive training in interviewing skills, resume building, and professionalism in health care. There may be opportunities for facility tours and face-to-face engagement with employers seeking to fill positions in their organizations with PATH Academy graduates.
