Description

This is NOT a misprint. 24 Track professional recording for only eight dollars and eighty eight cents per hour. When I first decided to build a recording studio, for my own use, back in 1982, I had a Tascam 38 1/2" eight track, nice mics, some offboard gear, etc. Nothing fancy. My friends band wanted to come in and record. They asked me how much I would charge? I had no plans of having it as a business, and so off the top of my head I said; eight dollars and eighty eight cents.( $8.88). And so my studio took off. Word of mouth, then a monthly advertisement in the local music publication, and a new band every week. Some have said it was the best product they ever got. And then I found an old Ampex MM1000 16 track for sale, and so I bought that. But I needed a bigger control room, a bigger console, and on and on. And so as time went on I raised my rates to $12.00 per hour. Again I had a new band every week in my studio. So in 1992 I bought an Ampex MM1100 24 track recorder and raised my rate to $16.00 per hour. Holding that low rate until mid 2000 when we moved to a new house and I lost my studio. Put all the gear in strorage, started building a sound room in my garage, and in 2008 I had the gear set back up and started recording again, but for my own use only. No bands no customers. And so now it is 2022, I have a new studio in Winder, changed over to a hard drive recording system, with analog console and my old collection of analog offboard gear and preamps. But as in the past my attitude is this; I can't afford to go to any studio and pay for recording time. And so I have dropped my rates back to when I started in 1986 to $8.88 (eight dollars and eighty eight cents per hour, professional 24 track recording). I am availabel from 1pm until 9pm seven days per week. 24-32 tracks digital recording, Hammond A100 with Leslie 122, Yamaha Stage Custom drum set, guitar amps, bass amp, bass guitar, electric guitars, pro mics. And a solid pro musician, with a pretty good ear as your engineer, to help you reach your goals. Mixing to CD, and with CD duplication if needed.
