My son has been skateboarding for a month, and has all the protective gear, with a Powell cruiser and 60mm wheels to start. He needs help learning to stay on the board at the end of a ramp, mastering turning, and gaining confidence. He asks me to go to the skate park everyday, so I know he is motivated to learn. He is starting kindergarten this month and we have a few other extra curriculars, but other than that our schedule is flexible for afternoons and early evenings, for hour lessons (or less time considering he is younger). We are central to Meridian, next to Tully skate park. Of course I will be present for the lessons (sitting on the grass, hiding in my comfy chair), but you must have the patience and confident personality much like a teacher or babysitter, experience with kids, and be a recreational pro at skating yourself.
