MEMCO is HIRING Skilled Ironworkers- COMMERCIAL !!   Location: Corpus Christi, TX Pay: Base on Experience (Pay weekly)   Duties and Responsibilities: Build and install iron or steel girders, columns, and other construction materials Make, weld, and cut structural metal in fabricating shops. Erect steel frames. Connect steel columns, beams, and girders. Drill holes into steel for bolts. Number steel according to assembly instructions Position steel with connecting bars and spud wrenches. Work with driftpins to align the holes in the steel with the framework holes. Use plumb bobs, levels, and laser equipment to check alignment. Bolt or weld the piece into place. Tighten cables with jacking equipment. Install stairs, handrails, or curtain walls. Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary.   Note: Job Description is subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned.   Qualifications/ Requirements Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with layout, connecting, and rigging. MUST be have experience in COMMERCIAL settings- NOT petrochemical (industrial) The ability to work at all heights is a MUST Ability to read blueprints, interpret symbols and abbreviations on plans and drawings. Prior rigging experience to include knowledge of hand signals, rigging gear, inspection, and proper use NCCER cerification is a plus. Candidate must have a clean background and able to pass drug screening. 2 forms of ID.
