I am a quadriplegic young male lawyer living in Plano, Texas, with my wife and children. I am seeking a cheerful, pleasant, hard-working, healthcare attendant and personal assistant, on a live-in basis for three weeks out of each month. Duties include: medical assistance which includes bowel program, urinary catheterizations, washing (bed bath), and dressing. Medical training is NOT necessary or desirable. All will be taught on the job. However, applicant must not be squeamish or uncomfortable assisting with bowel and bladder needs. Duties also include laundry, housekeeping, as well as some food preparation. Assistance with all my activities of daily living is part of the job as well. The work hours will include late nights and early mornings; however, there will be plenty of free / rest time during the daytime hours. Applicant must be willing to travel for short and long trips, including by air, during the three-week live-in period. Applicant must be punctual and immediately responsive and possess a pleasant and agreeable demeanor. Having a driver’s license and vehicle (for applicant’s own transportation) is a plus. Must be legal to work in the US and to receive payment by check. Pay is approximately $1,700 per week (seven days). Soy un joven abogado tetrapléjico que vive en Plano, Texas, con mi esposa e hijos.
