Are you sick of taking guitar lessons from white men? Not sure where to look for alternatives? Text or email me for a virtual trial session (tips appreciated but not required) and I'll do my best to offer you an alternative :) My specialties include fingerstyle guitar, non-western musical theory and styles, and linking your newly acquired guitar knowledge to other instruments you may already know or want to learn in the future. Of course I can teach most everything else you'd like to learn as well, just wanted to list those as they are my favorite things to teach :) In person availability is limited, I primarily teach remotely, but if you prefer I'll consider travelling to you for a higher rate. Oh yes, speaking of rates, I offer sliding scale, especially for fellow qtpoc. Typically I charge anywhere between 30-90/hr, but will consider lower for fellow qtpoc if needed. I also am relatively proficient with repairs and maintenance of instruments and will help you learn how to do the basic stuff yourself. My goal is that if you hire me to do it for you once you won't have to hire me again :) I am happy to teach all ages and love to do group lessons or one on one lessons.
