Description

I have a group of experienced puzzle solvers/treasure hunters/decoders that will be working a treasure hunt that is coming to the Milwaukee area (50 mi radius of North Point Lighthouse Milw. - Sheboygan to Waukegan, Johnson Creek to the Lake). This is the last of 6 hunts this summer where a $1000 prize can be won by being the first group to solve a puzzle to a location and to get someone there to find the proxy item (a brass looking coin). There are 4 of us in this area, but it is far to large an area to cover ourselves (once solved (usually takes 15-20min to solve) it is almost a race to the location which is often reached within 15min also). So we are looking to find more people to kind of blanket the area. Our plan is to add any interested people to our temporary FB group for this event and organize locations that can be covered. Once we decipher the location we will reach out to the closest person/group and send them to find the coin. What is in it for you? the BOTG (boots on the ground)/searcher who finds the coin gets half the prize - $500, the other half is split up between the solvers. This is legitimate, they have done 5 locations already, they did a large hunt last year. If you are lucky enough to be the closest person and to be the first one to find the coin and be awarded the $500 prize you do need to take care of the legal paperwork stuff in regards to taxes with the people who run the hunt. You will also be asked to share your experience, picture taken etc. What do you need to do? Just get a hold of me (Debby) and i can answer any questions and get you onto the private FB page and figure out what area you will be able to cover. Then just be ready and avail. to run if you are lucky enough to be the closest person!! The puzzles usually drop between 10am and noon - sometimes we are notified of a more specific time the morning of - it takes us about 15-20 minutes to solve the puzzles (there is a group of us working them all at once). Last week, with only a few people to reach out to, our BOTG person was the 9th person to the location. Which if you consider they sent the puzzles out to almost 7000 people, that is pretty darn good - and i am sure the number will increase for this final hunt!!!!
