Riley needs a new home

Riley is a four year old cattle dog mix, and he needs a new home. He is a sweet cuddly boy when he gets to know you, but a bit of a problem before that. He is hyper vigilant and pretty nippy. He lives mostly comfortably with cats, other dogs, chickens and other livestock. He has lived with a toddler, (my granddaughter,) and was unpredictable with her, she was pretty predictably in his face, but he would be much better in a home without young children. Ideally he would be an only pet. He is not great on a leash, strangers and new environments make him anxious. He’s trainable, and I’ve had some small successes with that, but he needs more consistency and a stronger lead than I give him.
