SUMMARY: Seeking a Superintendent for a commercial construction company based in Tampa Bay. The Superintendent is a skilled supervisor who is responsible for supervising crews as well as supporting the administrative functions of the work. The candidate will oversee the quality, timing, and completion of the project. The candidate must have own truck or van. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. -Communicate with Project Manager daily regarding project schedules, provide project updates, etc. -Attend and participate in project meetings. -Manage project schedules and update Project Manager on any roadblocks, changes, or hardships in the way of completion. -Read construction plans and documents with accuracy and be able to clearly understand and explain the project to the crew. -Assess job priorities at site. -Procure tools, equipment, and materials needed for the job. -Execute coordination, scheduling, and rescheduling of crews. -Give clear directions to workers. -Ensure job sites are clean and tools are stored. -Evaluate the most efficient way to complete job without sacrificing quality of the work being done or safety of the crew members. -Ensure OSHA compliance. -Use good communication skills and be approachable. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Five years experience and competency in multiple construction trades. Previous supervisory experience and running a crew is required.
