Established snorkeling tour company in Ma'alaea Harbor. We provide narrated boat tours of 3-5 hours in length around Maui, HI. We operate 7 days per week and 12 months per year and our tours accommodate between 25-55 passengers per tour. Job Responsibilities: The captain will be in charge of overseeing all operations of their vessel while underway. Their number one priority is maintaining the safety of their passengers and crew. The captain will be in charge of navigating the vessel along the designated route while providing a full narration of all points of interest along the way. The captain must also conduct safety drills periodically for his/her crew and keep logs and records of vessel condition up to date. Most of the time, there will be multiple cruises per day, and can expect work days ranging from 8-12 hours depending on shift. Overall, the applicant will be expected to work a 40 hour week. Wagon e for captains are negotiable. Requirements: Must have/maintain a 100 Ton License. First Aid / CPR - We will pay to have this renewed or fulfilled if needed. Prior captaining experience. (At least 3-5 years preferred) Willingness to provide narration to passengers. Adequate boat handling skills. Knowledge of company safety/emergency procedures. Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose basic mechanical issues. Maintain cleanliness of boat along with crew. Must provide resume and credentials. Willingness to work on weekends Skills: Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong customer service relations. Leadership skills. Punctual and dependable. Job has a very rigid time schedule. Strong communication skills. Positive attitude. Willingness to learn on the job. Willingness to occasionally do some manual labor.
